While many of the plot beats feel familiar, some top-notch acting and superbly edgy direction from John Hyams help elevate the material, and the peach of an ending is well worth the wait. John G Pretty good, but some things were unrealistic. I know the lighting has to be enough to see what's going on, but forests at night are typically much darker. Also, the bad guy got beat in the head with a tire iron about four times, but he came out looking too pretty and clear headed... before the woman finally killed him (spoiler, maybe, but you knew the bad guy would die). I know that's nitpicky. Otherwise, it's a pretty good suspense film. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Juan T My heart was pumping the entire time! Great watch from a film I had little expectations for going in. Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Justice P This was so bad I made an account to leave a review. It was like if you asked an AI to make a generic horror movie. I think the Rotten Tomatoes critics were trolling for engagement because I thought this movie was absolutely awful. But hey, what do I know. Go waste a few hours of your life and say I was wrong. This was supposed to be a one sentence review but the more I typed the angrier I got that I watched this. I apologize. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Bronwyn D I was very Pleasantly Surprised!I checked this movie out because it was filmed in my area. But the audience reviews weren't super great so I wasn't expecting too much (I usually agree with audience over critics). But besides one particular scene that caused me to Yell at the main character in Frustration, I really enjoyed it. Jules Willcox did a Great Job. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/12/24 Full Review Audience Member Don't trust the critics on this one. Trusting the critics is like trusting character, Jess, and her poor decision making. This could have been a banger of a flick with such a simple story to tell. Sadly, they don't try anything original What you see is what you get. The audience will enjoy the suspense as much as they will loathe it. Poor choices in the script are what derail the picture. Unfortunately, I am NOT ALONE in my dislike for this film. Also, if this is based in reality, who has the ability to bite flesh from someone's through a coat and layers of clothing? Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/11/24 Full Review Vinicius S Very bad film. The film only lasts until the end because the protagonist is completely stupid and makes all the wrong decisions possible, and because the antagonist has the luck of a guy who won the lottery 7x. All attempts at suspense fail because nothing ever happens. I've seen trailers for porn films, and toothpaste advertisements with better scripts. They hired the worst screenwriter and a good director to make this cinematic sadness Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
